A Good Egg!

I attended Joyce's Stamp Camp this morning. Oh what fun! (I was late but I actually finished all four projects in time to pick up my little boy from preschool... ) I got to make 3 cards and 1 cute little box! Here they are.... do you see the green card on the lower left? That's a slide card using the word window punch. I thought it was cute, so I could not wait to make one of my own!
With SU's Good Egg stamp set, I created my own slide card... Isn't that egg cute? I lightly colored it using SU's Watercolor Pencils, put two-way glue and dazzling diamonds, punched it out with the circle punches.... And best of all, I used the free Sale-a-bration Delicate Dots designer papers.... Just the right colors I was shooting for. I used So Saffron as my base cardstock. So now, I have a good-looking Easter card! Thanks for looking....

Happy Valentine's Day

My 3 year old was sick off and on last week; I had him home with me lest he got everybody else sick in preschool. And when he is home, my housework (i.e., laundry, dishes, errands) all pile up. Then I play catch up as soon as everybody is asleep at night! Which left me with barely enough time to stamp.... ugh! Could have been worse (smile) but I managed to stamp some heart cards in time for Valentine's Day!

The first one was the easiest to make. I had the whisper white cardstock shaped from SU's Top Notz die so I figured I'd better use it. I also used traditional Valentine colors in red and white. Came out simple and pretty.

My second card is a bit more complicated, what with the different layers I used. The base cardstock is Pink Pirouette, all the designer paper is from SU's Bella Rose. The stamp set is SU's Love You Much, which I don't have... so thanks to Kay for lending me her set! I also used the following: (other stamp) Holiday & Wishes; (ribbon) Michaels' grosgrain ribbon; (tools) 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches, Martha Stewart lace punch, scallop scissors, markers.

For my third card, below, I used a red heart shaped doily as my centerpiece. If you noticed, I used the same Lovey Dovey stamp from SU's A Little Something set. I stamped it with Basic Black ink to match everything else. I was too lazy though to add dazzling diamonds.... Oh well. The background stamp is called Italian Poetry, could have been by Inkadinkado. The sheer black ribbon is from Michaels.

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Cards 4 Kids

Hi! I participated in the Cards 4 Kids drive spearheaded by this lady. I made 50 Valentine cards but boy, it sure was hard to figure out which one I wanted to send. In the end, I settled for something simple and easy to make.... but looks like a million bucks anyway! (hahaha, my opinion).

I can't tell you how much I love SU's pink pirouette cardstock! So while a traditional Valentine card is usually red and/or white, I chose pink... soft, dainty, pink! I went with frilly too, that is why I added the white heart doilies to layer my Lovey Dovey heart which comes from SU's A Little Somethin' - did I mention that set was a gift from my friend Kay. I truly love that set, that was why I wasted no time in using it! Hahaha. Hope you like my card... thanks for looking!
